De Colores

As a representative of the Cultural Arts in San Diego County, Tierra Caliente Academy of Arts works to reach and educate our community, specially our youth. One of our most effective techniques has been through direct grassroots work, while at the same time shaping a structure that can target various markets. In that outreach and representation, projects are what has defined our credibility. Our “De Colores” dance production is one of our biggest cultural YOUTH productions of the year.

Fostering Education

“De Colores” is a visual and performing arts youth dance production that portrays the history of Mexico on stage through music and dance while adding the magical component of the theater.

Statistics and facts prove that the arts are unique in that it develops a sense of unity, giving, respect and discipline. In this case, Tierra Caliente Academy takes the initiative (Cultivating Education through the Arts) in representing our community with a very committed board, committees and dancers/parents.

Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30-7pm

Due to COVID-19 shutdown, we were not able to have the 2020 production, but very much looking forward for 2021. The tentative date for 2021 production is Sunday September 19th at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.
